GROWING A BEAD BUSINESS FROM SEED
My wife used to own a jewelry-making business. However, she recently became disabled, is no longer able to sit for extended periods of time and is too shaky to make any.
We heard the beads and components calling out to us, begging to be handled, so I decided to sell her inventory. She didn't want to give up beads completely, though. It's very therapeutic for her to run her hands through them. She also loves to try to design new woven bead jewelry - hence the patterns available here in our store.
So, I'm selling her current inventory and purchasing seed beads to resell with the proceeds. I hope to watch our shop grow into its name. But, we know that just like seedlings, it takes lots of care and feeding. This will be a nice business to keep busy with when I retire in a few years.
